The last step for the MSc in European Forestry

Hello everyone!!

today I will shortly write about the last step that I will need to take in order to obtain the double-degree diploma corresponding to the Master of Science in European Forestry-Erasmus Mundus program (see "Interesting links" in the right part of this blog). This program is defined as follows:

"The program provides academic education in forestry focusing on the international dimension of sustainable forest management issues. The program is an extra dimension to the already existing educational markets in forestry and nature management in Europe. In this program, European forestry universities collaborate intensively to offer joint courses as well as their existing curricula, based on the knowledge and experience of forest management for which European forestry was the cradle already centuries ago""The program is a top class taught masters program in the field of forest sciences. The quality of the program was acknowledged by the European Commission in 2004, when it was awarded the Erasmus Mundus status" (http://www.em-a.eu/en/erasmus-mundus.html).

In my case, and when I am done with the final master thesis (I hope next August), I will have two new diplomas or certificates:

1) MSc with major in European Forestry by the University of Eastern Finland (Finland)
2) MSc in Sciences and Technologies for Life and the Environment by AgroParisTech (France)

Let´s hope that these two new papers will be useful this summer in order to find a job! That was the main objective when I decided to start this program almost two years ago!!! :)
Here with some working colleagues, including the main director

But, as I said before, first I need to finish my thesis, which I started last February and will lasted until the end of July. However, you may be wondering what I am exactly doing?
So, I am working as a research trainee at the Central European Regional Office of the European Forest Institute (EFICENT). This office is located in the same city in France where I have been living since September, in Nancy, and it has the name of Observatory for European Forests (OEF). You can find more information about this institution in the right part of my blog, in the "Interesting links" section.

To conclude this new post I am giving to you a new link, where you can find another picture, this time of the current staff working in the EFI office in Nancy (France), but also a short description of what I am exactly doing, if you were ever wondering?! If you find it interesting, we can also discuss more in detail about it later on.

Hope you like it!!

Á bientôt!!
